As you can see, Abandongames Online isn't here anymore. I recieved an error Friday when I visited my website. For a strange reason, the website has been deleted. All of it. All the zip files, coding, screenshots and the database. We still don't know why it has been deleted, if someone hacked the website or if it was just a technical mistake.
I can spend much words at this, but the fact is that I'll stop with this website. Inserting all the 48 games again in the database, taking new screenshots for them, writing new reviews and searching them again on the internet will take so much time that I don't think I have the time for it. I'm a race driver in the GPx Proleague, I got another games website and my marks at school aren't really good. I really like to get the website online again, but I have to do everything again. The coding, reviews, screenshots, everything. Maybe it isn't worth it too. It was actually too much, running two websites. My other website, dosgamesonline.com, will stay online. Nothing disappeared there since it is hosted on another server.
I'm still very glad I started Abandongames Online. I met so much nice people. DarKsiDe, Muad'dib and Latis are just some of them. I like to mention them since they helped me a lot with the website. I learned to program a website in PHP and how to use MySQL, which I used for dosgamesonline.com too. It is much better than ASP and easier to learn too. Yes, yes. I'm really glad I started this website. Besides the people I met and the new programming language I learned, I also broke some records. My brother and I are always trying to get as much visitors to our websites, and then we compare the number of visitors and see who wins. The best day of Abandongames Online was 755 visitors, on January 30. 755, it's still a number of visitors I can't reach with any other site, but dosgamesonline.com is on its way to beat it.
A historical website for myself. Maybe it is that. It broke records of all other websites I made, even my old Pokémon website I made back in 2001 or so. After a lot of months I returned in the abandonware scene and I liked it.
One thing I still don't know is why a lot of people visited Abandongames Online and not dosgamesonline.com. Dosgamesonline.com had much more games to download. Maybe it are the good reviews, and the three screenshots, something I still want to introduce at dosgamesonline.com.
It's all over now, Abandongames Online won't return unless the days will count 36 hours so I have a lot of spare time to set it up again. Maybe I'll write some high-quality reviews for DarKsiDe since he didn't updated his website in more than two months.
There are a lot of people who linked to me. It takes a lot of time to mail all of you, that's why I'm telling you it via this way. You can get the link off your website or whatever.
This is it. My last words on this website. I hope you liked my website, and I still like to hear your reactions on the Abandongames Online board at 4HAM. Thanks everyone. Thanks for visiting. Thanks for your comments. Thanks for your help. Thanks for whatever you did.
